1. What is Vectone access?
Vectone Access is a Calling Card that can be used anywhere in the world. It helps you cut the cost of international calls. All you need to do is download the Vectone Access dialler on your handset. Using this dialler and your Vectone calling card pin, you can connect your calls using WiFi or your data connection, 3G or GPRS and save on paying the heavy international call charges.
The Vectone Access dialler is a ´Mobile Application´ for your handset that lets you use Wi-Fi, 3G or GPRS to save money on international calls by connecting you through the internet or mobile internet, when used with a Vectone Access Calling Card.

All you need is a compatible handset with Internet connectivity and an Internet data package.
 

2. How do I get started using Vectone Access?
To get started with Vectone Access, you need to download the dialler to your mobile fromhttp://wap.vectoneAccess.com. You need to request the Vectone Access application from the wap site, click on the link and download it. When you are installing, remember to choose Wi-Fi as your connection.

You then need to launch the app, log-on to the internet (preferably over Wi-Fi) enter your mobile number and your Vectone Access Calling Card PIN to start using it. You can buy credit here.
 

3. Is the Vectone Access dialler Free?
Yes. the Vectone Access dialler costs you nothing. The software is completely free and as calls are routed over the internet rather than the mobile network, you only need to pay your regular service provider for the data and for the call charges based on the Vectone Access Calling Card.

 

4. Can I add a new Calling Card PIN to the Vectone access dialer?
You can change the Calling Card PIN being used in the Vectone Access application by entering a new PIN.(On your mobile).
 

5. How can I change my Calling Card PIN associated with my Vectone access dialer?
The PIN can be changed on the mobile (in the Vectone Access dialler) as well as on the website.

Using mobile, after you have launched the Vectone Access application and logged-in, you can change the PIN in the ´My account´ tab.

When you replace the old PIN with a new one, the balance in the old PIN is not added to the new PIN. However, you may still use that Vectone Access Calling Card PIN for making normal Calling Card calls (using mobile/fixed line phones) until you have used the remaining balance in the card.
 

6. What is Wi-Fi?
Wi-Fi stands for Wireless Fidelity and is the popular term for a high-frequency wireless local area network (WLAN). That´s tech-speak for wireless internet Access, generally within a limited range from the transmission unit.

You can use WiFi to make low cost calls from your Wi-Fi compatible mobile phone.

 

Contact your home internet provider to find out more about getting Wi-Fi at home. You will probably find that many places you visit are already Wi-Fi enabled.
 

7. Can I view my calls history/details?
Users can see all calls made, SMS sent that have a cost associated with them on the Vectone Access website. Data will be displayed for one month and will be searchable by date range over a 1 year period.
 

8. How do I add credit to my account?
You can only add credit to your account by entering the 10 digit PIN number found on the Vectone Access Calling Card. A voice prompt will inform you when you have insufficient credit to make a call. Calls are charged per minute and rounded up to the nearest whole minute.

9. Which mobile phones are compatible with Vectone Access?
To use Vectone Access from a mobile, you will need a mobile using one of the following operating systems: Symbian 8, 9.1 or 9.2, (most recent Nokias) Windows Mobile 5.0 or 6.0 and 6.1.

10. How do I connect to Vectone Access using GPRS?
It´s easy to use Vectone Access via GPRS or 3G.

You need a data plan with your mobile operator before you can make or receive calls with Vectone Access. If you are not sure whether your mobile agreement includes a data plan, you should check with your mobile operator directly.

If you use 3G/GPRS instead of Wi-Fi, there should be some charge. (Which would depend on the data plan you are using).
 

3G/GPRS settings

Each handset and mobile operator uses different settings for 3G/GPRS in order to connect to the mobile Internet. For the right settings for your handset, you should go to your handset manufacturer or network help pages.

11. What are the call charges to my destination?
Call charges to A-Z destinations will be the same as mentioned in your Vectone Access Calling Card* (* Provided you connect over Wi-Fi).

However if you connect using GPRS, there may be a slight additional charge depending on the data plan you are using.
